Where it all began...

Camps Tasmania is the vision of Natalie Dell, who was inspired to run camps for young people in Tasmania after working at an American Summer Camp in 2015. Upon her return from the states, Natalie, alongside Libby and Josh set out to develop what is now Camps Tasmania. Natalie, Libby and Josh have extensive leadership and teamwork experience, having been involved in Camp and leadership roles since 2008.

Camps Tasmania was created to give young people in Tasmania opportunities like no other - an opportunity to experience a Summer Camp, make new friends, try new things and have a whole heap of fun. Camps Tasmania Summer Camp is a multi-day sleep-away Camp, run  for young people, full of amazing new experiences with a core focus on FUN!

Our Programs have now further developed to offer Leadership Training for people of all ages along with Leadership Camps and Camps for Schools and Youth Groups. Our programs are fully customisable to your group.

Camps Tasmania are a member of the Australian Camp Association.

philosophy

Camps Tasmania believes in the power of Camps to make a positive difference in the lives of young people. By taking young people out of their normal social networks, they are given the opportunity to be themselves in a safe and supportive environment. Camps Tasmania believes strongly in the ‘Camp Bubble’ and the difference the Camp environment can make in the life of a young person. Camps Tasmania seeks to provide a program where young people are challenged, feel happy, safe and encouraged to reach their full potential.

vision

Camps Tasmania is a community where Campers and Leaders are inspired to have fun and make connections through friendships; they feel welcome regardless of their background or identity can get caught up in the 'Camp Bubble' having fun and laughing all day long.

Mission

Empowering young people to accept challenges, think for themselves, form friendships and develop skills in a welcoming, supportive and safe environment.

Inspire, empower, challenge, support, achieve.

Our Team.

 Committed to our Campers.
